Fabamwo, Welcomed The ENT Team And Commended Their Efforts In Promoting Hearing Healthcare. He Noted That While Many Philanthropic Organizations Support Eye Care Initiatives, Few Focus On Hearing Impairments. As Part Of The Activities Marking The Occasion, The ENT Department Organized A Seminar Which Held At The MRC Auditorium Of The Hospital, In Which Dr. Olubi Delivered An Informative Lecture On The Human Ear, Detailing Its Components And Functions. He Explained That The Ear Serves As The Organ Responsible For Both Hearing And Balance, Detecting Sound Waves And Converting Them Into Signals The Brain Can Interpret. Additionally, The Ear Plays A Crucial Role In Maintaining Equilibrium, Enabling Spatial Awareness And Coordination. He Outlined The Structure Of The Human Ear, Which Is Divided Into Three Primary Sections, Outer Ear (External Ear), Middle Ear, And Inner Ear. To Protect And Care For The Ears, Dr. Olubi Advised Adopting Healthy Hearing Practices To Prevent Hearing Loss. These Include Maintaining Safe Listening Habits, Such As Keeping Volume Levels Moderate When Using Headphones Or Earphones, Shielding The Ears From Excessively Loud Noises, And Practicing Safe Ear-cleaning Techniques To Prevent Damage To The Ear Canal. He Also Stressed The Importance Of Protecting The Ears From Infections, As They Can Cause Temporary Or Permanent Hearing Loss. Individuals Experiencing Hearing Difficulties Should Seek Professional Management Strategies, And Regular Checkups With A Healthcare Provider Or Audiologist Are Essential For Monitoring Ear Health And Detecting Potential Issues Early.
