‎LADI MAKES DONATION TO ONCOLOGY DEPARTMENT IN LASUTH

‎ The Oncology Unit Of The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Has Received A Donation Of Consumables And Assistive Equipment From The Lifeline Advocacy & Development Initiative (LADI), Aimed At Enhancing Patient Comfort, Care Delivery, And Overall Well-being Of Cancer Patients.

‎ ‎The Donated Items Include A Waiting-area Structure, Plastic Chairs And Steel Seater For Waiting Patients, Wheelchairs, Drip Stands, Inspirational Frames, And Footstools. The Donation Is Intended To Support The Hospital In Easing The Stress Experienced By Patients Awaiting Consultations And Those On Admission, While Also Providing Mobility And Comfort Support Where Needed. The Presentation Took Place On Wednesday, January 16, 2026.

‎ ‎Speaking During The Presentation, Mrs. Bimbo Oloyede, Founder Of LADI And A Renowned Nigerian Veteran Broadcaster, Journalist, Producer, And Media Trainer, Expressed Her Appreciation To The Management Of LASUTH, As Well As The Doctors And Staff Of The Oncology Unit, For Their Dedication And Commitment To Quality Service Delivery. She Noted That The Initiative Is Focus On Cancer Awareness, Research, Patient Care, And Support.

‎ ‎Representing The Chief Medical Director Of LASUTH, Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, Was The Director Of Clinical Services And Training, Prof. Adebowale O. Adekoya. He Conveyed The Hospital Management’s Sincere Appreciation For The Donation, Describing It As A Thoughtful Contribution To Patient Care And A True Expression Of Compassion And Service To Humanity. He Noted That Many Patients Would Benefit Significantly From The Donated Items, Particularly The Waiting-area Structure, Which Would Provide Protection From Harsh Weather Conditions. He Assured That All Items Would Be Judiciously Utilised.

‎ ‎The Head Of The Oncology Department, Prof.  Abiodun  Popoola Was Represented By Consultant Oncologist, Dr. Yusuf Oduyoye, Expressed Profound Gratitude To Mrs. Oloyede And The LADI Team For Their Generosity And Kind Support To The Department.
