ACCOLADES TRAIL AS LASUTH MANAGEMENT TEAM APPRECIATES FORMER DIRECTOR OF HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION & HUMAN RESOURCES

It was an atmosphere of mixed emotions at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) as members of the top Management celebrated Mrs. Olatokunbo Adio, the immediate past Director of Administration and Human Resources (DHA & HR), recently posted to the Lagos State Education District 4, Sabo Yaba, Lagos.

Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, the Chief Medical Director of LASUTH, in his opening address, described his working relationship with Mrs. Adio as being a longstanding one. He went down memory lane as he highlighted the trajectory of her career path in LASUTH. Having worked with her since 1995 at the then General Hospital, Ikeja, in several capacities till she rose to become the DHA, he described her as a fast learner who is conscientious, committed, loyal and has an excellent relationship with everyone.

He noted that, though her exit was unexpected, the move was necessary for career progression. He expressed that with Mrs. Adio’s tenacity for good work, she is well primed to attain the highest level in the Civil Service. Prof. Fabamwo encouraged her to uphold her work ethics at her new posting and aim for best service delivery in all that she does.

Her successor, Mr. Kehinde Gbajumo, referred to his prior interphase with Mrs. Adio in the service and described her as a pillar of support who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone she came across.

Other members of the management spoke essentially in the same vein, eulogizing Mrs. Adio’s good attributes.

In her response, Mrs. Olatokunbo Adio, dated back her career path in LASUTH to 1995, and gave a chronology of her work experience till she became the DHA & HR in 2017. She thanked everyone who had good things to say about her and pointed out that her experience in LASUTH has toughened her to take up challenges and boldly see them through. She pointed out that she is better at her new job and believes she could surmount mountains to come.

Members of the Management team present at the send forth were, Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim, Director Clinical Services and Training; Mr. Tayo Lawal, Director of Finance & Accounts; Mrs. Adebola Aina, Deputy Director Nursing Services; Mrs. Yejide Kolawole, Director, Legal Services; Mr. Ola Sadiq, HOD Engineering Dept; Mr. Dipo Ajofoyinbo, Auditor; Mr. John Akano, HOD Procurement, Mr. Kingsley Dabor, Senior Special Assistant to the CMD.
