LASUTH ORGANISED RED ALERT TRAINING FOR HER PERSONNEL

LASUTH organised Red Alert training for its domestic and security personnel towards effective service delivery.

The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Professor Adewale David Oke reiterated that the red Alert initiative is born out of the need for positive behavioural disposition among the Staff towards clients/Patients that comes into the facility for any form of treatments or assistance. He stressed further that the domestic and Security personnel have pivotal roles and responsibilities to perform in ensuring speeding recovery of any patients in the hospital as well as effective and efficient interpersonal working relationship among both the internal and External Publics of the Hospital.

Expressing the reasons and Conditions for Red Alert, the Director Clinical Services and Training, Dr. Ayoade Adedokun emphasized that the training was meant to change the old norms of behaving towards clients in a negative manner but for the Staff to embrace a new dimension of according mutual respect, humility, honour, with high sense of responsibilities to all patients that visit the Facility without expecting any form of gratification from them but from God.

The Director Account Department, Mrs Akanbi commented that the revenue profile of the hospital could be affected either negatively or positively through the behavioural dispositions of members of Staff. She advised that Staff should exhibits good behaviour at all times.

While emphasizing on the implications of Red Alert initiative to Staff, the Director Hospital Administration, Mrs. Adio gave a vivid account of Civil Service rules and regulations guiding misconduct, gross misconduct, misbehaviour and general inefficiency in the service. She stressed on the sanctions and implications of any negative actions taken by any Members of Staff.

The ADNS of the Hospital, Mrs. Adesope said Staff should always dress in the ways they desire to be addressed. She enjoined staff to dress smartly, address Patients and their Families politely and respectively, be punctual at work and be dedicated to duties assign at all times.
